Welcome to Katikati College.

I would like to extend a warm welcome to you to Katikati College. This is a fine school and we have a proud history of providing the best possible education to the students of Katikati and the wider contributing areas from Anthenree to Omokoroa, in the Western Bay of Plenty.

Our school has been extremely well led over the last three decades by former principals Brian Blackstock, (1981-1999) and Peter Leggat, (2000-2009). As a result, Katikati College has built a sound reputation as a school that has high academic success and is at the forefront of teaching and learning.

The key to this success is the outstanding leadership, teaching and support staff that provides the opportunities and motivation for student success to occur. Students are encouraged to become well-rounded citizens that participate in co-curricular activities and contribute to their community. People from outside the local community always comment on how positive and polite our students are; something we can be very proud of.

2010 brings many exciting opportunities for the students at Katikati College. The implementation of the New Zealand curriculum, the numerous school events the students are involved in and strong sense of community make for a great year ahead.
