Music Opportunities
There are many opportunities offered to the musicians of Katikati College each year.
Outside events include Rockquest, National Chamber Competitions, Rotorua Rhapsody for Concert Band, Waikato Music Festival for Concert Band and Jazz Band, Battle of the Bands, Big Sing, Play it Strange song writing competition, Suzanne Prentice and the Kids for Kids concert, Tauranga Primary Schools choir Festival plus any other competitions that may occur or arise during the year.
The main Internal opportunities are Lip Sync and Talent Quest which are organised and run by our Senior Arts Committee. Others, like lunchtime concerts and evening concerts, as well as prize giving’s, are organised through the Music Department.
