Mathematics and Statistics

Mathematics and Statistics are all around us, from doing the weekly shop to thinking critically and solving problems. These two disciplines are related and both equip us with effective ways of investigating, interpreting, explaining and making sense of our world, however they use different skills and approaches.

Junior Mathematics and Statistics sets the foundation for basic mathematical knowledge and statistical insight. The skills students learn equip them for everyday life and also support them in other subjects.

In Year 11 students can choose either Mathematics or a combined Mathematics and Statistics course. In Years 12 and 13 Mathematics and Statistics are separated into two distinct courses.
